The 2023 Argo/Sherp Centaur XT is the ultimate off-road amphibious vehicle for severe off-road terrain and is an excellent choice for oil and gas exploration, utility/powerline inspection, search and rescue, government jobs, or as the ultimate hunting vehicle for your game reserve. The Centaur XT 4x4 features a Doosan 55hp diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and the final drive is a hydraulic skid steer that offers efficient power transfer without all the hydraulic hoses found on similar vehicles. The 71" low-pressure tires offer 26" of ground clearance and have standard 15.3-gallon fuel cells mounted to the rims. The pressure of the tires can be adjusted for different terrain right from the driver's seat. Standard seating is for 2 people but optional flip-up seats can be added in sets of two for a maximum rear seating capacity of six. A cab heater, roof-mounted air-conditioner, and two rear windows are now standard equipment.
A multifunction digital display shows you all the necessary engine and vehicle information and rocker switches for all lights and equipment are just an arm's reach away and is also connected to a rear backup camera. A Decol steel skid plate protects the underbody, and a full cab ROPS that is ISO 3471-2009 and 5700-2008 rated is standard. All chains are in an oil bath for low maintenance, and the engine is easily accessed behind a one-panel door for quick inspection and maintenance. The main fuel tank is 25 gallons but add in the wheel fuel cells and you get a total of 86.2 gallons to work the longest shifts with a burn rate of 1.3 - 2.2 gallons per hour.
The Centaur XT 4x4 is powered by a Doosan 1.8Liter 3 cylinder 55hp (41kw) liquid-cooled diesel engine with 190 nm of torque. It has a base payload capacity of up to 2,645 lbs. / 1200 kg and features a towing capacity of,180 lbs. / 2,350 kg. with a 330 lb. / 150 kg. tongue weight.

TUBELESS ULTRA-LOW PRESSURE TIRES W/ FUEL CELLS
The reliability, strength, and durability of our patented suspension system (including tires and wheels that are lightweight and elastic), create a high level of adhesion to the ground. The 71" tubeless ultra-low-pressure tires are self-inflating for optimum traction in snow, water, sand, mud or hard surfaces. The full inflation cycle takes 30 seconds to reach full pressure. Each tire features a 15.3 gallon fuel cell so there is no need to carry 5-gallon cans when headed into the backcountry.
GEARS AND OIL BATH CHAINS
Unlike hydraulic motors and belt drives, the unique experience of using gears and oil bath chains helps to avoid slippage and sticking on any terrain when the vehicle is being driven in extreme conditions.
