ARGO amphibious XTVs are built to go where most vehicles cannot — through mud, snow, wetlands, standing water, and remote terrain. But those same conditions also put extra stress on drivetrain components, tires, bearings, tracks, chains, and sprockets.
Unlike many traditional off-road vehicles, ARGO machines rely on low-pressure tires, chain-driven axles, multiple bearings, and a skid-steer steering system. That means routine inspection and preventative maintenance are essential if you want to keep your machine operating smoothly and avoid expensive repairs.
Why ARGO Drivetrain Maintenance Matters
Most ARGO models use a central transmission, a system of chains and sprockets, six or eight axles depending on model, and outer bearings that support each axle. Power is transferred through the body tub to each axle, and because so many moving parts work together, small issues can quickly become major repairs if they are ignored.
